Poor homeless people

I was asked by a journalist (likely also a communist and a terrorist) whether as Commander in Chief of Australia I would continue with KRudd’s goal of halving homelessness by 2020.

The answer should have been obvious to anyone who has any inkling of how a coalition government operates.

NO!

Unlike women who choose to give up the gift of their virginity, or employers who can’t sack workers, a conservative government will can do little for people who choose to be homeless.

even the homeless can stay connected

This may seem somewhat hard hearted and if it does I make no apologies – a Commander in Chief shouldn’t have to.

I was approached by the building industry with a proposal to take KRudd’s project further and have the government provide free housing to ensure that there are zero homeless people by 2020.  But they didn’t make a donation to the coalition, so it is unlikely to become policy.  Besides there is always plenty of room in the barracks if they want to join Abbott’s Army.

I understand that part of the problem is that people who are homeless are victims of negative public opinion.  However I wonder if there is any sympathy for the negative public opinion received by a politician.

Recruits, my conscience is clear and I sleep peacefully at night on a king sized mattress in my insulated, double-brick, air-conditioned home knowing that I am backed by the bible where it says in the  Gospel of Matthew: ”The poor will always be with us” .
